Cover design, illustration system, and full layout for Sananda — Zitate und Weisheiten (three editions so far).
Even when I don’t necessarily agree with a book’s content, I treat the visual world with respect: the job is to translate the author’s vision into a coherent, readable object.
For this series, I used flowers and plants as the central metaphor: a quote (or idea) can grow inside you like a seed in fertile soil. I created a library of origami-style flowers made from sheets of book pages and spread them throughout the book. To contrast the realistic paper textures, I layered them onto painterly, oil-like backgrounds with bold color palettes.
Each edition features its own key color — same system, different mood.
