Pain Killer

Poster design for a one-woman show — playful, honest, and adaptable under real-world festival constraints (yes, even the pill bottle had to evolve).

Pain Killer

Through a mutual friend I was introduced to Evelyn, who wrote and performed this one-woman show — a humorous, sharp reflection on spiritualism, self-discovery, and personal growth.

This was one of those projects where the first idea still has my heart (I used it as the title card here), but reality demanded iterations. For the Edinburgh Festival premiere, the depiction of a pill bottle wasn’t conforming to festival rules — so the bottle had to transform into butterflies at the last minute.

I still love the original attempt. I’ll stand by it.
